The club holds an annual camping/caravan weekend, usually in July/early August. A number of our members own caravans, and whilst these may be towed to the venue by modern vehicles, arrangements are usually made with partners/friends for the MGs to come along for the ride. Members without caravans or tents often join us for some or all of the weekend, either as a day out, or by staying at nearby hotel or B&B accommodation. The venue in recent years has been a site at East Keal in Lincolnshire, but for 2022, a new site near Wroxham (gateway to the Norfolk Broads) will be the venue.
The weekend usually runs from Friday through to the following Tuesday. The venue is usually selected to allow for road runs out to local sites of interest (museums or transport-related shows), and there are various social activities (barbecues and pub meals) over the weekend. If the weather obliges, a trip to the seaside is sometimes part of the schedule. Below are some pictures from recent camping weekends. Please contact us as early as possible if you are interested in joining us, as numbers can be limited due to space availability at the selected site.
